Cattle Traction Unit
The Cattle Traction Unit is used at the traction and assisted movement station of a cattle slaughter line.
It provides controlled and continuous traction for cattle within a designated process section through a stable drive system and integrated roller track structure.
The unit adopts an overhead suspension mounting design, featuring compact layout and smooth operation, making it suitable for continuous and high-load operation in slaughterhouse environments.
Technical Description & Structure
1) Drive and Power System
Installed power: 2.2 kW
Integrated motor and gearbox design
This configuration ensures high transmission efficiency, stable operation, and compact structure, meeting the requirements of continuous slaughter line operation and facilitating maintenance.
2) Roller Track Structure
The roller track is constructed from galvanized 10# channel steel arranged back-to-back
The structure provides high strength and load-bearing capacity to withstand continuous traction loads
Galvanized surface treatment improves corrosion resistance, suitable for humid slaughterhouse environments
Note: The roller track is an integral structural part of the traction unit and is not the main slaughter line conveyor track.
3) Main Frame Structure
The main frame is fabricated by welding:
Galvanized 16# channel steel as the primary load-bearing structure
20 mm thick Q215 galvanized steel plate as enclosure panels
The frame offers high rigidity and is resistant to deformation during long-term operation under heavy loads.
4) Driving and Driven Wheels
Driving wheel and driven wheel material: 45# carbon steel
Replaceable tooth design, ensuring strength and wear resistance while reducing maintenance and replacement costs
Suitable for high-frequency traction operation.
5) Installation and Protection
Installation type: overhead suspension mounting, saving floor space and allowing easy integration with other slaughter line equipment
Exposed edges are finished with 304 stainless steel edging, improving corrosion resistance, reducing impact risk, and meeting hygiene and safety requirements of the slaughter industry.
Applications
- Traction and assisted movement stations in cattle slaughter lines
- Medium to large-scale cattle slaughterhouses and automated processing lines
- Can be used in combination with bleeding lines and overhead rail transport systems
